Minister for Health and Children Mary Harney Launches Irish Chronic Pain Association Information and Support Phone Line
The Irish Chronic Pain Association is the principal support group in Ireland for the 400,000 people of all ages suffering with chronic pain. It is also actively involved in coordinating patient support on a European wide basis through its involvement with the European Pain Patients Network. The Association is a member of the Neurological Alliance of Ireland.
Having secured office accommodation in the Carmichael Centre for Voluntary Groups, the ICPA has established an information and support phone line for pain patients 01-8047567. This phone line provides a valuable support service for people in pain, especially those living outside the Dublin area who are unable to attend monthly support meetings. The Association is anxious to highlight awareness of this important service.
